What better way to say a big ‘Thank You” to the St Annes in Bloom library garden volunteers than treating them to hot drinks and cakes, and the odd glass of sherry! It provided a lovely pre-Christmas social event and an opportunity to express our thanks to the group for all their hard work.
The group attends to the garden every Friday morning and we all agree that it has never looked better. Volunteers help with general maintenance, planting, repairs, etc – the latter includes the pergola which needs a lot of attention as it has deteriorated over the years. St Annes in Bloom have obtained the materials and will see to the repairs shortly. FOSAL has been able to fund these materials from funds raised from our events.
